Natural or Artificial lighting?

I think when I am going to be looking at lighting, it will completely depending on what type of mood I am trying to create and I think depending on which subject I choose this will be very important to consider. I think when looking more at the temporary gallery space, this will highly depend on artificial lighting, which is usually apparent in gallery spaces. However if I was too look more at a living space for Lucy, or a studio space, natural light would be important and the way to create it will have to be highly considered.

Something for the cat.

designed by, Asahi Kasei. Not too sure if this would even work but such a cute idea to keep the cats entertained.

Drawing

This grid chair by Jaebeom Jeong looked to me like a 3D drawing. Something that should be on paper as the wire thin lines look like pen lines.

Box Obsession

What is it?

D’espresso Cafe Interior by Nema Workshop Playing with the mind. I really had to look at this twice to get what it was.

Storage

How to Separate a room?

Hermes Boutique at the Hotel Lutetia by RDAI In France, Paris. They have created pods to separate the room into different rooms. They are also made so you can see what is going on insideof them through the cracks.

Place for a cup of tea?

Is this a working space or a place to have a gathering? Or even both?

These are a couple of images of Study Space at Orestad College in Denmark I love how grand and open the space is! How amazing would it be if this was our university! Have a sleep over your free time :P

This is obviously a much grander scale than what I am going to be creating but this caught my eye for something that would be great in a studio. (For somewhere to enjoy all those cups of teas)

Cubby Hole

A reflection space, sectioned out within a room. Open but different atmosphere and meening.

Library Space

Still looking at places that people would be able to read and think and a space to themselves I came across this designer Thomas Mills. This is a circular library which goes against the whole structure of a standard library which is usually rectangular, straight and ordered. I like how this has been changed into a structure that stands alone in the room and becomes its own space.
This is a chair designed by Arik Levy who was inspired by using these confession boxes in a way for people to communicate but in their homes and everyday life. I think that this is relevant when it comes down to the communications taking place during the BABL as people would be able to communicate and still feel like they are keeping a secret as they cannot see the person on the other side listening. This is also something that could be quite portable as long as they were not too big and could block out the whether.
I could take this into consideration if I was to think of any of the the rooms I could create. A space to think.

Pierre Hughe

Video art or more contemporary art. -- not too sure yet why I had chosen these but want to keep in mind for the future of this project.
If I was to think back to the Permanent space. The main thing I remember is the long list of things which Lucy wanted to include into her Studio. Somewhere to bind books, a place for 10 people to be able to sit, have a cup of tea, a area to be able to store all the books which she collects and the collected random collected objects. As the space is going to be varied I will need to consider how to compact some of the space and how to create the different areas which she wants.

This Artist is a great example of keeping a lot of items in one small area, making the most of a space. Keeping everything compact would be a good idea to keep in mind.

This image reminded me a little bit also about her box obsession and how she liked to keep everything in boxes.

The Hidden essentials of everyday life compact into a wall - the things that are functional but not the most attractive of things such as the toilet and washing machine.

Do Hu Suh

A Transparent, virtual space out of a material which is none stable and probably not use able unless it is in a controlled space or a temporary exhibition. I like how a structure is made out of a tactile material but still looks very structural.
- This is revelent when I am looking at what materials I could use when making the model.
